Episode #23 with Kaylee Michnik, health, sustainability and academia

Kaylee Michnik is a Registered Dietitian and a PhD student in the department of Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan focusing on public health nutrition, cultural bridging, and school food programs. She holds a Masters of Natural Resources Management from the University of Manitoba. Her master thesis research focused on community based and participatory approaches to Indigenous food sovereignty and sustainable livelihoods in First Nation communities in Manitoba. Kaylee is excited about initiatives that promote environmental and human wellbeing through exploring and appreciating land and food. Kaylee currently lives on Treaty 4 Territory and on the Homeland of the Metis in Regina, SK. She enjoys camping, canoeing, hiking, gardening, E-books, and spending time at the dog park with her puppy.
