Episode #4 - Chatting about the Carbonless Concert Series with Jay Maillet

“If you start from a place of passion, you’ll be surprised at how far you’ll take it to make a positive change”

Originally from New-Brunswick, Jay has over a 15 years of onstage experience. He now calls Saskatoon home, where he hosts a series of Carbonless Concerts. Beginning in October 2016, Jay began hosting a series of carbonless concerts, aimed at promoting local live music and sustainability in the community. At these events, Jay uses solar powered generators to power all the audio equipment and lighting. For Jay, this is a way to lead by example, to engage his community in discussions of sustainability, to show the potential of solar energy on a small scale, and to support local musicians and local live music. Jay holds a PhD from the School of Environment and Sustainability and is currently teaching in the College of Agriculture and Bioresources.
